List box on server behaves strangely but local copy does not - Need Help
We have a client which runs QV 9 SR2 on their server. One of their list box behaves very strangely and does not show the fields being serached when running the application on the server (see screenshots below)
Server
If you click on the first 3 figures; Before entering anything, you can see all values. The choices get greyed out if I write eg the number 2. The choice only appears AFTER I enter all five figures. In other areas nothing comes up in the search field even though I know there is data.
På local copy
If I copy the application as a local copy or file on my pc there are no problems. It also works on IE plug-ins.
I have reported this to QlikTech support but when they test this, nothing strange happens.
Me too! I've been using QV10 desktop with QV9 SR6 server and having a similar problem. The list box in local / developer mode searches correctly, for example trying to find "MA0142" in a field when using the search *1* will find the desired field MA0142 plus any other result with a "1" in it.
However, when viewing via Access Point, or opening my application as "open in server", the search described above, search for *1* finds nothing at all!
An identical search for "MA0348", using *3* will find MA0348 and all other "3's" in both local and server modes!
I hope a solution can be found soon, this is most frustrating both for me and the users.
Hi we are having the same problem. Using desktop v10 sr3 and server sr3. I want to search for example for a company called MM Store, in Desktop it all works fine as soon as I open it using IE plugin I type mm and it doesn't work. Same with some other companys.
We have also got a TEST server that is tunning QV10 SR1 and the weird thing is that when I reload the same file on this server and open it through IE plugin it is all working fine. As soon as I copy the same file into LIVE (QV10 SR3) server it just looses it.
