Load from load VS join.

Hi..

I can build a table and add columns to this using one of this two methods:

method 1:

Load *,

calculated_field1;

load *,

calculated_field2;

load *

resident atable;

method 2:

load *

resident atable;

join

load key_field,

calculated_field1

resident atable;

join

load key_field,

calculated_field2

resident atable;

Is there any advantage using any of this over the other?? maybe speed or memory usage??
