Hi,
I have a QVW file which contains about 70+ objects. Is there an easy to find the object and be able to locate
it directly? For example, say I have an object ID and it's CH50. I want to go this object directly but don't know which sheet
contains it. I could go through one by one and eventually I'll find it. Just looking for an efficient way.
Thanks
Hi sidneylu,
I don't think so there is any short cut to identify the chart.
May be using macros you can create some logic to activate the chart.

Hi sidneylu,
Settings-->sheet properties-->Objects
May be,
Document Properties -> Sheets Tab
It will list All the Sheets and Objects..
This will show me all the objects for the sheet I'm on. This isn't exactly what I'm looking for. I need to go to the object
directly given the object id.
Yes, I did look into Document Properties -> Sheets. But there is no "go to" button for the object I'm interested in.
if you go to settings/document properpies sheet tab, by default, the bottom pane will list all objects for all sheets
you can click on the object ID column to sort the object, which will make it easier to find - once you find the object, you can then see the sheet it is on, as well as other object characteristics
You can double-click the ObjectID heading to sort them, then scroll to the object you're looking for.
No there is not, sorry.
Objects can be invisible, or hidden below another object, or hidden in a container object. These are only a few examples of objects where your Goto-button wouldn't work anyway.
BTW the Sheet Properties->Objects tab has a visibility flag, object position information and a layer index as well. Should be helpful when locating hidden objects. Don't forget that entire sheets may be hidden as well. Fortunately sheet visibility doesn't affect the availability of properties access in Settings->Document Properties->Sheets.
