Logic needed to build a scorecard sheet with and without security

Hi,

I am working on an application which has section access implemented based on region fields in the application.

So whenever a user logs in he/she can see the data only for the region assigned to that user.

Now i want to build a new scorecard sheet in which when a user logs in the user can see his/her data as well as data of other regions so as to get an understanding of where the user stands as compared to other regions.

How can i go about doing this .

I appreciate all your help.

Regards,

Nadeem

Balanced ScoreCard

You will not need to have a separate calendar, just the opposite: usually the calendar is the common link.

You may have a table with Details, like:

User, Transaction, Date etc.

Then a calendar with Date, Month etc.

Finally the summary with Date.

Disable section access so the user can access all the data.

I will recommend to have ALTERNATE STATE

comment out section access and use alternate state to compare the data.

Create a second table with aggregated values for use in the BSC, which are not affected by the section access

Hi Gysbert,

Thanks for your reply.

How do i disable section access in the same application .

I mean in the same application i want the user to see only his data , but only in one sheet i would be creating objects where he could see his data as well as others

Nadeem.

Open the Document Properties window. On the Opening tab disable the option Initial Data Reduction Based on Section Access.

Hi Gysbert,

when i disbaled the option Initial Data Reduction Based on Section Access.and checked , user is now  able to see all the regions data .

So this is not what is required .

There is only one sheet in the dashboard where a user should see his data as well as other's data.

For the rest of the sheets he should see only his data .

What is BSC?

Will i have to create a separate Calendar.

If the user can see all the data in one sheet, he has access to all the data anyway. So what's the problem?
