Hi Folks,
I am using QlikView QV 11.20.12664.0 SR9 and would like to connect to the MemSQL through MySQL connector.
So I have installed MySQL connector version mysql-connector-odbc-5.3.7-winx64 on my Windows 7 64 bit machine.
Also I have configured MySQL data source under 64 bit ODBC under C:\Windows\System32 folder.
I can see MySQL Data source with MySQL ODBC 5.3 ANSI Driver under system DSN.
The issue is when I launch QlikView and while trying to connect to database through Database connection inside Edit Script it is not showing the MySQL data source listed under Data source list. I have tried with both options Force 32 bit on or off, however nothing worked.
Also under tools ODBC Admin 64 bit is disabled in QlikView while only 32 bit is enabled.
Please help me to resolve this issue.
This issue has been resolved as of now.
The QlikView version I'm using is 32 bit and trying to configure 64 bit MySQL connector. Now got the 32 bit connector and it got configured successfully.
The version you are running is well over a year old.
QlikView 12.1 has been released over a year ago and QlikView 11.2 is already at SR14 (or even higher).
Now I am not sure if a bug in your version is causing the problem, but it might be worth upgrading anyway.
Having 64bit stuff under a system32 folder feels a bit weird though.
Its bit confusing in Windows, please refer the article below where it is said that C:\Windows\System32 folder refers to 64-bit drivers and C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder refers to 32-bit drivers
I'll check with my colleagues which version of QV they are running, most probably they are running the same version, however for then its working perfectly but for me not.
