My client has shared some QVD files with me but unfortunately I can not extract SQL out of it, I am getting following message when I go to edit script section.

I guess you mean to say that your client "has shared some QVW files with you"? QVDs only contain a single data table and an XML header. There is no script to be found anywhere in any QVD.
A Source QVW file that is reloaded and published by the QlikView Publisher will have its load script removed. If you need them with the load scirpts intact, please ask your client for the Source QVWs.
