Object sharing using bookmarks

Hello,

Does qlikview allows to share new objects thro bookmarks?

I was able to create, share bookmark on the server and an another user was able to retrieve the bookmark.

For E.g.: Bookmark contains a new straight table with a selection on it and an pop up message along with the existing report.

While retrieving; I was able to see the pop up message and the selection on the bookmark, but not the newly created table.

Could you please help me out in retrieving the new objects thro bookmarks?

You wouldnt share objects through bookmarks, they are selection specific to selections.  Your objects on the access point are specific to you as far as I am aware, if you are using V11 you could do a collaberation session to share the design of the object.

I just figured out the the solution. you were correct. Bookmarks share only the selections and the pop up message.

Objects can be shared using the process below:

Press F2 key with the report opened. It will show the list of objects and Bookmarks created by the user and the shared bookmarks and objects on the server.

To share the object - Rightclick on object and choose 'share with everyone' (you can also restirct users)

To Retrive the shared object - Drag and drop the object from the Server object pane.
