Dear Qlikview user
I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to open a URL action in the same browser?
Background:
I am looking into adopting the document chaining technique so I am researching the advantages and disadvantages of both Open URL V's Open Qlikview Document actions
The problems I have come up with so far is that "Open Qlikview Document" opens the second document in AjaxClient and I want it to open in IE Plugin. I have tried changing setting on the document itself, but cannot get round this issue.
Hence the original question. If I can get Open URL to open in the same window, then I get around the Ajax problem
Any help or advice woiuld be greatly appreciated
Kind Regards
Helen
Will you able to provide image for setting where you changed?
Dear Anil
I made a setting change on the QEMC on the second document to be opened. I unticked Full browser and small device
Cool, What you meant by Second Document Opened?
Hello Anil
For document chaining I have App1 and place an action "Open Qlikview Document" and tick in "same window" on a text object in order to open App2 (Second Document)
I then go to the access point and although the action works my App2 opens in Ajax Client, not IE Plugin
Some kindly told me that I should untick "Full browser and small device" for App2 on the QEMC (See image above), but the problem of being opened in Ajax client still exists
Therefore I considered going down the route of Open URL instead, but wanted to know if you can open URL in the same browser
At this time I am unsure which technique is best to use
Kind Regards
Helen
Do you install the IE plugin in Access point which is available in the right corner of top position of your browser.
Dear Anil
We push IE Plug out remotely through our IT department to all machines which will require it
Kind Regards
Helen
