Passing Variable With data

                 Can any one tell me  how to pass a variable along with data to another qlikview file using button click.

                 Is this transfer of selections from one report to another possible without using a button.I wanted this navigation to happen on the selection of a

                 particular field.Is this possible?If yes,please let me know how..

                I have tried to implement Transfer States as you have said but it is not working.

                Any things I need to take care of?? Please let me know

             You have to make sure that the fields name are same.
