Period-to-period analysis performance

Hello.

As I can see, period-to-period analysis can be achieved using at least with two methods:

  • Set analysis by using master calendar
  • Using InXXXToDate() functions like QlikView 11 time chart wizard suggests

The questions are:

  • Are those two approaches have the same possibilities / limitations?
  • Which one is the fastest?
