I know how to move totals from the top to the bottom, but they are always horizontal across the top or bottom. I have an example that was done where the totals have been moved to the far right side, and total up vertically.
For example, I have a very simple pivot table with dimension of customer going down the vertical axis, and year going across the top access horizontally. The expression is sum of sales for the customer/period. When I use show totals, it shows them across the top, or bottom horizontally, and sums up the total sales per each year. I want to move the totals to the vertical axis and sum up the totals sales for each customer across all displayed years. Ideally I would like the option to show both sets of totals in the pivot table.
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
Not sure but if you do partial sums on both the customer field and the year field in the pivot table, you should get what you want.
I have added an example. Is this what you are looking for?
