Hi,
I would like to have a background between two reference line of a line chart.
Something like below figure:
I need uniform background color, so just ignore the spray paint filling that I just did to visualize what I need.
Currently, I am just able to draw these two reference lines individually and there is no option to draw a reference region in chart properties.
Can some one suggest a way to make such regions?
The starting and ending points of regions may vary and there can be multiple regions also.
Is qlikview team trying to provide such feature in future or there is already a workaround?
I attached the sample qlikview file attached for your easy reference.
Thank you in advance!
The reference lines have a style property. If the pairings are constant, you could use the line style, colour and label to link pairs.
However, if the pairings are data driven and dynamic, then this will probably not work. What you could do is create an alternate state (AS) and expose a "Task" list box in that AS. The start and end reference lines expressions would filter using the AS and display the reference lines for the selected task on the chart. This way, only one region is indicated at a time, but the user can select which one. And the selection is in a AS, so the chart itself is not affected by the selections.
Unfortunately your sample does not contain representative data with expressions for the reference line values, so I cannot suggest what the expression will look like.
There is no way of colouring the region like your image.
