Problem with QVS 9 SR5 - server instability, numerous system errors

Has anyone experienced any issues with QlikView Server 9 SR5 (07502), x64.

I installed this two weeks ago (upgrade from SR4) and within 24 hours started seeing big problems on my Windows Server (2003 SP2).

For the past 2 weeks my system log has been filling up with errors every minute until system hangs and we are forced to restart.

Mostly:

  • event ID 333: An I/O operation initiated by the Registry failed unrecoverably. The Registry could not read in, or write out, or flush, one of the files that contain the system's image of the Registry. (explanation & possible fix here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/970054) We installed this hotfix a few days ago
  • event ID's 26, 50 (explanation & possible fix here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/890352) - these started right after the previous hotfix

Restarting temporarily fixes the issue for a few hours and QVS runs normally. This is a dedicated QlikView server, nothing else running. IT is helping me troubleshoot, has logged calls with Microsoft and is suspicious about the timing of the two events. Everything was fine until I installed SR5. Above errors aren't necessarily QV-related but did not start until right after the upgrade, thus my question in this forum.
