Problem with colering alternate rows

Hi Qlik Community

I have used a background expression in my expression to color every other row in my Pivot table.

The problem is that it does not consistently color every second row.

This is the expression I use: =if(even(RowNo(TOTAL)),RGB(230,230,230),white(

Here are some examples of what I am talking about:

Any help is appreciated.

Have you tried using RowNo(TOTAL) as an expression in this same chart and does it populate for the rows which are not colored? I am guessing that it doesn't which is why it isn't able to look at the condition.... I see you have Year dimension going across, what is the other dimension in your chart?

Hi , thank you for the reply.

I have added the RowNO(TOTAL) as an expression and it does actually populate the missing rows.
Now it perfectly colors every other row.

Though it does add a bizarre extra field at the bottom of my chart like this:

Other than year I have 3 dimensions in my chart "Education type", "Education status" and "Major".

Would you be able to share a sample where we can see the issue?

The screen shots that I posted in my original post should clarify what I am talking about.

Or to what problem are you referring?

I am unable to check expressions and play around with color expression within the screenshots that have been shared.... Unless I am able to play around with it, I won't really know what might be going on
