Problem with the Multibox

I have Multibox created with 3 fields.

But, for one of the filed which has only one values show up on the selection of the multibox but technically a user needs to select the value which is really confusing.

It doesn't have always one selected value checked.

i have tried to create a separate multi box for just that filed and it does the same behavior though.

Is there some settings that need to be made sure.

Please find the screen shot for the issue.

Thanks.

is not being selected, otherwise it would be green, whenever one of the other filters is selected where that value is also part of the data set it will always show that way, this is part of QV associative engine

one thing is that even after clearing all the selections this doesn't change.

Now this is confusing for the users.

Please Can anyone suggest what is the best way to handle this situation?

No need to change anything. Selecting nothing in a field is the same as selecting everything.

So if the field only has one value, then that value will always be selected even though it is not green.

But the problem is that we are forcing user to make selection on the Multibox to start their analysis on the tab.

Layout-->conditonal show-->GetSelectedCount(DataType)  <> 1.

Right now it seems selecting nothing doesn't fulfill this criteria and in this case a user has to select the value even if its only the value present on this particular field.

adding to Colin comment, in this case do you really need that field as a filter ?

Yes, i do need to.

Because we are distributing the application to different countries and for this particular field may have one or more than one values based on country.

Thanks.

in that case you can create two multiboxes, one for users that can see more than one country and have this filter as part of the multibox and another one where this filter is not part of the multibox
