Provision for Developer License ?

Hello Community,

I have a SME license with 5Named cals. One of the user also wants to be as a Developer.

At present he is having Personal Edition, will you please let me know how can I make the user as a developer also !!

So he can develop the application and publish it. As of now he is developing it on his desktop and then moving the application file to server

but he is not able to open it because it is developed in Personal Edition.

How can I do this, what is the best way for the same !! Is there any provision for this ?

Awaiting for your response.

Thanks

Paul

SMES allows license lease so your developer could lease a license from your Qlikview server. See attached pdf for more information.

Hi paulpierce

There are two sceniaros :

a - Automatic allocation of named licenses (this works if you did not disable it)

You can ask the developer to open any developed QlikView app on the server from QlikView Desktop. This will lease the license.

b - Manual allocation of named license.

You need to go to QlikView Management Concole of the server :

System -> Licenses tab -> Client Access License (CALs) -> Assigned CALs. You can add him in this list and then ask the Developer to open any qlikview app on the server to lease the license.

I am assuming that you are working under Activity Directory.

I hope this helps!
