Qlik Analytics plugin for Visual Studio issues

Hi,

Before I begin I had better ask the question; will Qlik Sense function in a workgroup server environment i.e. without AD?

Presuming it does, I'll explain the issues.

I am trying to follow the Qlik Analytics for Visual Studio video and help to create the sample MVC application. I have VS 2015 Community on a development computer and Qlik Sense 3.1.1 server on another computer.

I can connect to Qlik Sense server using the plugin and I am able to copy the HTML code from the plugin to the MVC application code.

If I use Windows authentication, I am prompted to login to the local computer running IIS Express in which the MVC app is hosted but the rendered page has no styling applied and does not show the visualizations.

I have resolved this by creating a matching user and password on both client and server (ensuring the user has a token) and enabling HTTP protocol on a different port with the required firewall reconfiguration.
