Hi all,
I have a really strange problem ! In fact, have 4 excels files, they all have one KeyDate in common; when I reload; each time only 2 or 3 tables appear ! (randomly), and the other ones are not reloaded ! I stored each table in a QVD, then loaded all 4 qvds and all 4 tables appeared ! That's the strangest thing ever !
Are you aware if there is configuration that maybe someone changed in 'user preferences or any other place that I need to check?? maybe? Thanks a lot !
and be sure, that the 4 tables are just excel ones, containing nothing strange at all. They all have one field in common. I just imported them a loaded with no further configuration..
Thanks !
Hi Omar,
please check field all are different except one common field?
can you check files names any two are same name?
please share sample of 4 files, we can find the solution easily.
Regards
Sathish
Can you check the row counts in the tables.
QlikView will concatenate data to a single table if both multiple source tables have exactly the same field names.
Can you post your load script, that will help identify the issue.
each table have unique fields; only a KeyField is in common btwn all 4 tables.
plus, I stored each table in a qvd.
Then loaded the 4 qvds; and all 4 tables appeared.
But when I load the 4 tables directly from the excel files, only 2 or 3 appear.. (RANDOMLY)
ps: I even added noconcatenate btwn all 4 tables; just in case..
please upload some example data...
I really can't do that.. sorry.
But trust me, the tables' structure have nothing to do with that..
In fact, the same tables when imported via QVDs will appear when I reload..
So it's not a data problem nore a table structuring problem..
But when the source is directly from excel, It does this..
No idea what's going on..
... then I would contact Qlik Support...
The problem is most likely in the data -- wthout being able to see any its hard to diagnose the problem. Can you upload the document log file?
Otherwise, create a sample subset of the files, starting with (say) 10 rows and see what happens. If the behaviour persists, upload the sample set (Excel files and QVW).
If the problem resides in the data and the association's structure btwn the 4 tables, how come the problem does not persist when I load the same 4 tables with the same association from 4 QVDS instead of 4 excel files?
(I loaded each table and stored it in a QVD one by one)
That's really strange
As we cannot see the file you are trying to load can you,
1) post the script you used to load the excel files?
2) the Script you used to create the 4 QVD's?
to analyse what exactly happened, my first guess is auto concatenation!
