Hi,
I just upgraded to QV10 SP5 to remove som bugs, however, it seems (just like with SP4) that they introduce some brand new "features" as well. For me, after SP5 the statement "for $v in filelist ('C:\*.txt')" seems to return all the filenames in lowercase, despite them really beeing mixed or uppercase.
Anybody else can confirm that?!
best regards
Johan Fr
Yup, seems same as the thread about the lower case table names.
Hmm, I thought Service Packs should be rather risk free to install.
I remember when I installed SP4, didn't really have many problems with SP3, but did it anyway. That turned out to be a blunder, as SP4 did introduce some rather critical bugs for my applications. Had to apply two hotfixes just to make it work again. (Have to add that Qliktech support was resposive). Now, SP5 fixes those bugs introduced in SP4, but also introduces the "all filenames are smallcaps, except foreign letters like ØÆÅ etc." feature?!
We're just looking at upgrading to V10SR5 for the same reason ... what would be your advice, use the patches or upgrade to SR5?
Thanks,
Emma
I would still advise you to upgrade. For most entities, this is "lowercase-problem" is not a deal breaker.
Hi,
That's what I was thinking as well ... especially after reading the release notes! Thanks for the advice, will get my IT department on the case.
Thanks,
Emma
