Hi All
I have an issue with the data modelling in Qlikview.
Request to please help me on the same.
Issues: I have 2 fact tables Where i need to associate these 2 facts via common calendar. Attached is the Qlikview file and Source files for reference.
Thanks
Satish
The 2 fact tables are Opportunity and Campaign
I guess my question is which date fields you want to use; close date fields or start date fields.
In my industry, we have service dates, discharge dates, paid dates and we usually go by one date field which is service date. And create a master calendar based on service dates.
I need to create a common calendar from Opportunity (field is Opportunity Create Date) and Campaign (field is Campaign Start Date) fact tables.
Let me know your thoughts
Thanks
Satish
If I understand it correctly, you want to build a master calendar to link two tables. If so, please see the attached file.
In a nutshell, I renamed "Opportunity Create Date" and "Campaign Start Date" as Date, and from there I started building a master calendar.
This should give you some pointers to build what you need to accomplish.
Thanks
This works.
But the problem is when i integrate with other tables, it is creating circular reference.
Thanks
Satish
Hi Satish,
As per data Model, their no direct relation between the 2 tables so first try to join the few tables and have the common keys together in both the tables and then build a composite key with the combination of common key and date , finally link this with the calendar using link table
I think this will help:
