Reload Question

I have a user that created a qvw on their local machine and then copied it on to the server.  As the administrator, I would like to edit  it and also reload it when needed but it won't let me.  Is there a way to do this without recreating it?

Are you opening that file from the server or from your Personal edition. Did you leased a license from the server before opening that file on your desktop ?

Are you sure that he/she didn't uncheck a few boxes ín document properties which allows you to reload the app??

There is a possiblity that he/she might have given some security checks. Or they might have used Section Access. First thing, can i know from where you are trying to open, when opened are you getting any error message? Do you have admin privileges to log in to your server. ?

I am opening up the document from the Server and I am in the Qlik administrator group.  When I look at in settings menu, the documents properties option is grayed out.  In the File menu, the Reload option is grayed out also and the edit script is not in the list.

You should ask the user to check the boxes then save the app and then try again.

Even though you are in Qlik Administrator Group, if he/she added you as a user in section access, you will not be allowed to access reload/document properties. Can you find out if there is any section access used in that dashboard?

The issue I have and maybe should of said this in the original post is the user that created the file is no longer with the company so I cannot ask any of the question.
