I am looking to find the number of time a patients returns from ICU to a particular department and back. Here are the fields that I am working with.
PAT_Encounter_CSN
Event ID
FromTime
ToTime
firstDepartment
NextDepartment
My approach I created flags from ICU to Depart A and Department A back to ICU, this would be a single return. I have a solution for returns, my issue is that if a patient has more than one return that happens in a month, and if the next return ends in the next month, both of the returns are counted in the same month.
