Row and Column totals in pivot table

In a pivot table, I would like to show some dimensions totals in rows and some in columns.

I have searched this community and one advice is to use Subtotals on Top/Bottom. but this is making no difference; all totals appear at the bottom or top of columns, but never at the end of rows.

Any hints as to what I'm doing wrong ?

Thanks

Hi Richard,

If you pivot a dimension along the top, it's partial sums would by default then appear at the end of the row. You could create a total expression instead?

Try show totals at expressions

Thanks Jonathan

This is a useful example, and I have dimension-level formatting to good effect elsewhere.

Hi Aaron

Yes I do have a dimension along the top, and I'd want the totals for that dimension therefore be in a column.

But it seems that whatever combination of partial sums and top/bottom totals, they never appear as row totals.

I can create and experssion total, but I prefer to let QV do the work where possible
