Run Execute Command on button click

Is it possible to run the execute command or run a batch file on the click of a button?

In general yes - from the desktop client you could simply perform a reload (triggered the excute) or macros which will be work within the IE plugin, too. With AJAX client you will need EDX: Using EDX in QlikView 11 - basic example
