Sense Server not saving development work

We are using Sense June 2018 and developing our apps on the server.  However, recently users have been noticing that updates to their apps, being developed in their personal work space, are not being saved.  Again, this is not work done to a published version of the app, but rather done in the personal work space.  A user will add a table with a few dimensions, then close the app to go back to the hub and then reopen the app and the table they just added will not be there.

What could be causing this?

You did not publish a new version of the application and did a 'replace' ?

hi,

similar thing happens to me, I'm on June release server edition.

i make changes to my app on  My "Work" stream.

when i press f5(refresh) all changes are gone.

then i made some changes and stayed on the sheet, then opened the hub again on another tab. and then duplicated the app

and the changes are gone from it when i open it. i basically have 2 tabs open, one with the original app with the changes still visible.

and another tab that have the duplicated app (duplicated after making changes)

but in this new tab the changes are gone.

if i press refresh on the first tab all the changes are gone from it

basically the session and the changes i make are not saved

also if i make changes in one tab, then open the script editor in another tab and reload the data.....when i go back to the first tab....all my changes are gone.

what gives?????

pablo trevisan

when i publish the changed app (with replace but also without)

to a stream and then open the app in that stream......i also dont see the changes i made

Hi all,

I have not experienced this issue personally, however a developer in my organization is reporting a similar issue so I am here researching.

Can I ask what browser you are all using? e.g. Chrome, IE, Firefox?

Also, did you try logging out, clearing all cookies, then log in and check again?

I did notice a similar type of issue while in the script. Sometimes the SAVE button will not activate if I've made small (but significant) changes to the script. I have to do a CTRL-S to force it to save.

Hope this helps!

Amy

Hello,

My problem was that Google Drive, on the same PC, seemed to use the same ports as Q.

If you are running a cloud-drive or backup app, try pausing or exiting it.

I've been experiencing the same issue with Chrome (Version 72.0.3626.121 (Official Build) (64-bit)).  However, the same issue does not persist within Internet Explorer.  You may have to use IE as a temporary stop-gap resolution.

I think this post needs to be moved to the Qlik Sense area.

There is another thread on the same issue that you may want to follow: https://community.qlik.com/t5/Qlik-Sense-App-Development/Why-changes-to-apps-are-lost/m-p/1606878/
