I have a simple data set which is a listing of application bugs. Two characteristics is the month / year the defect was identified (derived using MonthName(CreateDate) as [Date Created] and secondly the month / year the defect was resolved (MonthName(ResolvedDate) as [Resolved Date].
Using this, I'm trying to create a bar chart using the Month / Year as the dimension, and a count of open and closed bugs within each dimension group. For example for a single bug record, if a bug is identified in March 2014 and resolved in Apr 2014, then there would be 1 bar (Identified) for March 2014 and 1 bar in April 2014 (Resolved).
I assume this could be handled using set analysis, but I can't get the syntax right.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, this is a good blog which I have used to do something similar with dates.
Please provide some sample data.

Hi Manish. Thanks for your help. I've given it a try, but still failing somewhere. Please see the attached scrubbed and reduced sample file. If you need the excel spreadsheet, let me know.

Will help you but can you please let us know what exactly you want?
The status you have mentioned in QVW are different from the status you have mentioned in your original question.
If possible, can you provide your result in table or chart with excel?
The status in the records are irrelevant and are not part of this view. Obviously each of the 10 records have been identified, but only those that have a date populated in the "Implemented Date" column have been resolved. Therefore a bar chart with Created and Resolved counts by Month / Year is what I'm looking for.
