It is possible to set the parameters for calculation on the data but to change the values in data is supposed to happen in database by the database administrators. In BI we don't change the original data. The original data is in the ownership of the client and only client should change it. This is the best practice I guess.

Can you explain it in a bit more detail.

You want to set variables on highlighted values but is there any logic behind these values?

Or you just want the values in these columns to be highlighted?

Hi Tariq,

Thanks for response.

There is no logic currently I have only sample data  in excel that I have attached..

I just need to set highlighted values dynamically.

Is there need to use any variable if so how shall I proceed.

thanks

You need to activate highlight on any value based on some logic.

For example if you want to set a variable on Existing Policies field that if the value in this field is equal to or greater than 20,000 then the field color turns yellow if less then 20,000 then it turns red.

For this purpose you can use conditional color option.

Look into the attached example.

I have applied condition on background color of the expression

I have used the If condition in the background color expression, you can use the same expression in the variable and use that variable in background color expression.
