Try enabling the Sort by Y-value on the first dimension instead. Pivot tables are finicky when it comes to sorting. If you collapse and expand dimensions that will muck up the sorting too. If you use the Always Fully Expanded option then sorting by Y-value works fine. See attached example.
but as the list in the real app is quite long the customer wants it collapsed by deafult.
When I try to sort by Y-value on first dimension, the sorting changes when expanding a Supplier, B is number one but after expanding becomes number two. I guess that's because it's resorting on the expanded values and not looking at the total per Supplier.
