Sorting of grouped date in X-axis

Dear all,

I a bar chart with count and date as the y and x axis respectively. I used the calculated dimension =year(request_date) & month(request_date) to group the date into month and year. However, the value in x-axis are not in sequentially, I have tried use expression (year(request_date)*100 +month(request_date)) in sort tab as suggested by others, but it still doesn't work.

It looks like it should work, but hard to say without seeing your QVW. I think a slightly simpler approach may be to create your calculated dimension as:

=date(MonthStart(request_date),'YYYYMMM')

Then just sort ascending.
