Can we create a Stacked Bar chart with 5 dimensions and 1 expression ?
It is possible, but depends on if it displays as you want it to or not. You might want to use cyclic or drill-down groups instead.
Hope this helps!
To make a stacked bar chart, you need to have at least two expressions.....
Here is an image of a stacked bar chart with 2 dimension, department and student, and 1 expression, avg(Grade).
Hi Jerem,
Thanks for the response but i my case i have 5 dimensions. All of them i have to show in one bar. It works till two dimensions but doesn't work for more than three. Same thing if i do in Straight table i get all the 5 dimensions
Thanks,
Sumit
But if we have more than two dimensions, we need at least two expressions...
Let me know if I am wrong... Question is about having 5 dimensions..
You can have 5 dimensions and 1 expression, but like I said above, it probably won't display as you want it. Once it gets over 2, it displays sort of like a drill-down and you have to make selections. To have all 5 displayed at a time, you will need display them as expressions. How do you picture having 5 dimensions displayed all at once? This way might be hard on the eyes if it was possible. What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Maybe the drill-down or cyclic groups might be a better option.
