Standard Deviation Graph
Hi everyone.
I am trying to create a graph that shows the actual performance scores in comparison with the normal distribution.
I've read the topics posted on this and got somewhat far in terms of getting the formulae in place.
My first challenge is that the Normal Distribution graph doesn't fully take on the 'bell' shape. I read that sometimes you need to expand your data set on either side of the mean. This didn't work for me.
Secondly, the actual scores when plotted take on a completely different shape when plotted as a line chart. Therefore, to make matters simple, I then thought of making it a bar chart so it could be compared under the bell curve. Problem is the bell curve isn't taking on its traditional shape.
I would like to ideally have both expressed as bell curves in the same chart. My only other theory is that perhaps it is my data set but not sure how else it needs to setup or sorted.
Would greatly appreciate your assistance.
Many thanks.
