I am building a straight table chart in Qlikview that will allow users to select which data they would like to see- dynamic dimensions? They can choose any Revenue by quarter for the last 20 quarters- [Revenue 2016 Q1], [Revenue 2016 Q2]. They can choose Returns for the last 20 quarters- [Returns 2016 Q1], [Returns 2016 Q2]. They can choose the Percentage of Returns for the last 20 quarters- [Percentage 2016 Q1], [Percentage 2016 Q2].
I would like to have a Total Revenue column which show the total of all Revenue columns they selected. Same with Returns and Percentage. If these were dimensions, I would just use set analysis and Wildmatch. Is there a way to do this with Column Names? Sum all the column name with "Revenue" and then only add the ones that have been selected to show?
It seems like I come up with ideas that are ahead of my Qlik skills.
I am doing it this way avoid the # of rows exploding. The table starts off with over 300,000 rows, and if I put each quarter on a row, the row count explodes.
Note - Qlik has feature associate search engine. It will fetch the data from selection default by help of Sum(Revenue)
