Symbols with a Bar in a bar chart

What I am trying to do is show that flow of a patient through an Emergency department. What I would like to do is within the roomed bar shows symbols for time that things like attending assigned,  med ordered and so on. Is this possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

What I am looking for is something like below. each dot would represent another event while they were roomed.

Oh then you need to use a combo chart.

I am still unable to get this to work. I have attached an example application and I would like the Attending Assigned event symbol to be placed within the Roomed bar. Any help on how to accomplish this will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
