I am very surprise to found out that my QV Doc just now take 30 Sec to open the doc. in the past i notice it take about 3 min to open the doc.
So my conclusion is QV open the doc depend on many factor it is ? one of them is how many table chart on the sheet which it load. when my sheet all hide , and it only load few sheet with very few table chart , it will take 30 sec, if QV when load it load all sheet QV will take very long. because it load all table chart into ram.
1. first factor is your machine and available RAM. if you have good hardware configuration (64 bit) then it is always be faster compare to poor hardware.
2.Your data modelling.. if you have if conditions or distinct logic at your load script then it always take time to process the model. here comes the optimized and unoptimized load concepts.
3. Now come to the UI side.. it always loads fast if you have less no of charts and calculations to do.. and it is prety obvious.. in your case when your file as to render less no of sheets/charts then it took less time...
My case is very funny. All the while for last 1 year it alway take about 3 min to load , some time take 2 min. today when i try to load my old QV doc , all take about 30 sec to open the doc.
This meaning my QV doc is okay. and why only now it take vey fast 30 sec instead of 3 min , i can conclude one thing :-
1. i restart my note book when i open my QV doc, meaning the ram is empty , and it load very fast. it does not need to use harddisk as ram. i am using win 8. yoga 13. and the reason i use hardware to shut down because win 8 have some bug on shut down the note book.

atlest i notice some thing and confirm from you , it is cause by the ram.
