Task lost its schedule - Task failure

Hi,

I have a task which is scheduled to run every morning. This task is being performed for about 6 months without a problem.

Its work consists of check whether there is a new data file. If yes then the load process starts.

The physical server is facing some performance problems so I had to restart the QV Server (QVS) and QV Web Server (QVWS) yesterday.

This morning that task didn't run. Looking for the root cause I could see that it lost the schedule.

However, opening the settings options of that task and returning to the main screen, the schedule time returned its usual value (picture attached).

Does anybody know if it's possible to lose the schedule time after a QVS restart?

Is there a file/log related to the task historical change?

Thanks in advance

Hi all,

It happened again this morning.

This time I recorded using a video camera in order to show how strange it is.

I posted on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6Ds5DXa0i4

Thanks in advance

We're intermittently seeing this too. When it happens, we've taken to unchecking/rechecking the Enabled box & hitting "Apply" to turn it back on.

We had hoped that migrating from the XML repository to SQL Server would correct the problem, but no such luck.

We're on 11.20.11718.0.

Out of curiosity, what version are you running when you see this?

I'm not sure if this will help, but we've eliminated our version of this problem by decreasing the value for QMSChunkSize in c:\Program Files\QlikView\Management Service\QVManagementService.exe.config.

Currently, we have it set to 10...haven't seen this problem in a while.

Be careful on upgrades...if you uninstall/resinstall, you'll have to redo this setting (as it exists in "Program Files" instead of "ProgramData").

Hi, is your server date\time correct?
