Temporary bookmarks - default timeout?

Hi all,

in one of our applications an user created temporary Bookmarks (sent by email).

after around two weeks the Bookmarks do not exist any more (BM ids cannot be found anymore under teh users Server objects or on the Server).

We dont have the Parameter ServerTempBookmarkDayTimeout set up in our QVS Settings.ini so can anyone tell me if there is some other place where the defualt time out for temporary Bookmarks is set up?

Is there a way to restore the Bookmarks under the same ID?

Thanks and greetings

Ivan

Hello,

I think default timeout is 0, it means that it is never removed.

Users can't find those bookmarks or they don't work? I think they should work if you use them as an URL parameter.

Are you using AJAX or IE plugin client? In IE plugin you should find it in the Temporary Bookmarks tab.

In Ajax Repository I really don't know, but you can search for them using the Shared File Viewer power tool, see it's ID and then try to use it in an URL.

Were you able to identify a default value for the ServerTempBookmarkDayTimeout setting?

I don't have an entry for this in the QlikViewServer Setting file, but have seen entries like this recently in the Events log...

700InformationDebug: Purged 0 temporary bookmarks for document
700Information

SE_LOG: Server - PurgeTempBMFile: Purging temporary bookmarks on document

These 2 line appear for each application on the server.

Any information would be appreciated,

B
