Top 10 (Pivot Table)

I know this has been answered a number of times on this board but I am having a lot of trouble getting any of the suggested solutions to work. Currently I have a table that I need to have the top 10 records displayed. The code is from one of the columns.

Now I need to add the Rank and Set Analysis to have it select the top 10 records bu I have spent a good day and have made no progress.

Dear Kieran,

If its a numeric value which can be used to identify rank, you can use Rank Function available in QV. If its not so, plz share file to get an idea of your requirement.

Did you try sorting the data ... the highest values on top (descending I guess)??

And than in the options->presentation only show 10 values??

Think that should do the biggest part for you.

I am using QV 8.5. I can't see this 'Top 10' option, am I blind or is it not in 8.5?

I cannot seem to get the Rank function to work. Could you please show how you would use it with my code? I can't get it to work... The QV helop examples aren't particuarly helpful.

Plz refer to attached QV file.

If you put any number between 1-5, you will see value of those records only in table beside.

I need to know exact requirement to talk about SET Analysis.

If you can detail out your query, it will easy to understand.
