I've used button object with built-in action event "Open Qlikview Document" with "Transfer State" option selected.

What do you mean you are not getting the expected result?

The data is not as expected or the functionality is not at all working?

Thanks

i mean functionality is not working.

eg.

my both qlikview applications contains a filed "Product".

I want, if i select any value from "Product" (lets say ProductA) and clik on the button (which launches another qlikview application) , "Product" field in launched application should be selected with ProductA by default.

I am not finding any reason for this not to work? Are both files in the same folder?

You could attach two simple sample files for us to analyze the issue more

PFA two apps Source.qvw and Target.qvw.
Problem Statement:
When any Product is selected in Source.qvw and end user click on the button, it should launch Target.qvw application.

Pain Areas:
On first time click of button, functinality works fine, but problem arises when Target.qvw file is kept Open (I'm currently using Qlikview(10) Desktop for testing) and end user swithes to Source.qvw application to change the selections of Product and click on the button again to launch Target.qvw app.

I think this has to do with closing the launched qlikview application every time and then Go back to the First application, change the selection.

Anyone plz let me know, If this is the limitation of inbuilt state transfer in Qlikview.

Thanks Vaibhav.

Adding button to close Target.qvw can be a workaround to solve this problem.

But, I want to analyse these two applications using "Tile" mode of Window.

In this case, "Tile" mode no longer remains when end user navigates form Target app to Source app.
