This might be a known issue but I'm struggling to fix it. I have installed QlikView 11 personal edition on my home system. I have created few QVW files and everything went well until I have tried to re-opened the same files. I can't re-open the files and I did not even close QlikView instance nor restarted my system. Then I have thought this is something to do with lincensing. So I have uninstalled, restarted the system and re-installed the same. Then I have tried the same... created new QVW files (Not opening old files from old installation). These brand QVW files I can't re-open them once I close them. I am getting the generic error message and I am not sure if there is a registry setting to clear the lincenses. Please can someone help on this issue?

Hi Kamiya,
Remove the entire Qliktech folder. Also find (Crtl+F) and search for qlikview or qliktech in all the folders of registry. ut you should be very careful as deepak said that the registry will show you the saved files (your work files) while you search. You can delet all the support files except the saved files (i.e., your work files).
