Unknown Error When loading from Web File

Hi Folks,

I'm having a location excel sheet located on Wiki (Web) and I'm using Web File loading to process from Qlik back-end , but not sure why I'm getting below error:

But when I'm trying to open same link (Say https://Abc) on browser than I'm able to download Excel Sheet. See below:

It means I'm having access to the Excel , but than why I'm getting "Unknown Error".

Also I have noticed one strange thing , see in the above screen shot , it is showing me option to save or open excel , but why in the browser it show a different link as working https://fed.textron.com....

Not sure what's wrong here!

What happens if you mark xlsx or xls as Filetype instead of html filetype?

You are trying to load an excel file? right?

In order to be able to read an excel file which is web located you have to have a direct path to the location of the web server where the file is store and have proper rights on the folder of course...

You are not reading an html file but an xls/xlsx file which resides in a location described somehow like that:

httt://www.myserver.com/files/myfile.xlsx

Do you know the exact url of the excel file you want to load?

Yes , I'm using the same. Even if I open this link in browser , it is showing me option to save or open.

When you start the wizard what file type are you selecting, Web file or Table File?
