Usage of slider or input box with variance.

Hi Guys,

I have a scenario where i want to calucate the variance and managed by slider.

I have CYTD and LYTD and i am  calculating the variance as  CYTD-LYTD.

In the variance i have both posiitive and negative values.

Now i want to create a slider , as the values on slider changes the variance should show > < ..

i have created an input box and assigned the values. how can i pass these values to the variace..
