Using multiple dimensions

Hi

(last one for this evening)

I am having a problem using multiple dimensions in a bar chart.

I have US States, and Regions in my data - each state is grouped up into a region.

When I put one dimension above the other in the dimension Tab, QV seems to think that each state appears in every region on my chart, and creates space for the bar - which is blank for regions in which the state does not exist?

Should this be possible?  a bar chart showing sales by state, but grouped by the region of the state?  I would then also like to colour by region...

Could you post a qvw with your problem?

I'm not sure if it will work, but what happens if you create and add a hierarchical dimension as a dimension and expand all nodes? (Not hierarchical group)

Best regards
