Value List Function Issue in Straight Table

I am using value list function  as a dimension along with year as a second dimension.  BUt I get $0 and , its giving me current year also, even though my expression does not include max year.

If I remove the Year dimension the chart works.

Can you please help with this

The result you get if you dont do any selections in Year or month.  As soon as you select a Year or MOnth, u loose the data.

There are some known issues with ValuesList and set expressions.

That's the alternate state you have inherited your sheet from.

Well when I implement the sample you sent me in my actual dashboard, it doesnt work again.  I have defined the variable for year as you did  and added the Alternate state.  I actually copied the sheet object from your response and pasted in my  dashboard

U have assigned a new state (AS) to the sheet object why is that? and what it is

Have a look at the thread I referenced above.

I think this behaviour is a bug, and the only workaround I've found is setting the chart to a different state then the expressions.

In your QVW, there are a huge amount of alternate states already created. Not sure what they are made for, so I've just created on more, AS.

But why the sheet object is not inherited since we already assigned the alternate state at the sheet level
