Variable edit option

I have created one variable with the name of testing, but if I want to change the name of the variable where is option exists?

Hello User,

Open Qlikview document, Setting-> Variable Overview, select your variable here and change it in the definition box you see here. or do a Ctrl+Alt+V shortcut.

I don't think there is an easy way to change the name of a variable once it's been set - there clearly should be - it's a problem I've had for a long time.

As a work around I simply create a new variable with the name I want and then copy+paste the contents of the old one across to it before deleteing the old one - simple.

It may be possible to change the name via vb but this would probably be more trouble than it's worth.

Smart solution, but need to find out the way of changing the name of variables..

Thre is no way to change variable name but when you want to change name you have to delete existing variable and create new variable with required name.
