Variable in table??

Hello everyone out there, i am kinda new on qlikview and I have a doubt, can i use a variable in a straight table?, I explain

I have a straight table with 15 fields, 2 buttons:

button 1 and button 2, if I  click in button1 the value of a variable changes to 31/12/2013 AND if I click on button 2 the value of the var changes to 30 /06/2014 that´s ok until now, but my question is how to put that variable inside my table?, the changing value is already done, so putting the variable in my table as a 1 more field is the thing.

Yes. you can use your variable in any thing in qlikview.

let me know are you trying to add this as a dimension or expression? and how you are trying to use.

May be a sample app will be helpful to resolve your question quickly.

yes i am trying to add the var as dimension, I just want to change the value when clicking 2 different button

Can you tell me how to add my file, because i dont see any icon to

Once you click "Reply" on top right corner you will see "Use Advance Editor". once you click on that you will see an option to upload your QVW.
