Variables alternate state

Hello,

is it possible to assign alternate state to a variable without having to create another one? in other words suppose i have the variable $(vPeopleIn) which is

sum({<H_Flag={'PeopleCount'},JobType=>}[Count In])

now instead of creating a new variable with the alternate state like that

sum({Group2<H_Flag={'PeopleCount'},JobType=>}[Count In])

i want to add the alternate state directly to the variable as if i am saying {Group2}$(vPeopleIn)

thx

Hi Malek,

Did you try to assign the alternate state to the chart/object itself (under General tab) ?

The same variables would work but this time depending on the alternate state.

This helped me in some cases, hope it helps you too.

No, variables cannot be assigned to an alternate state. Use separate variables instead.
