Web View vs. Browser

I'm able to add an expression or dimension to a chart in web view by clicking right and properties. But can't do it in the browser, I see them, but can't edit or add any.

Any comments ?

Hi,

the difference may be because Webview uses an "internal" version of Internet Explorer to display info. If you're using a different a browser then try using a different one and see if it works.

I tried IE and Chrome but it's the same behavior. Does this have to do with some settings in QMC ?

I see what happens,

In ajax client you're able to create and edit new objects (In QMC "allow server objects" should be enabled), but you can't edit objects that are already created. I'm not sure if there's a way to allow users to modify objects that are not server objects,

Hi,

You have to allow Server Object in the QMC see the below.

Jaime and Bill, "Allow Server Objects" option is enabled.

Users can create new objects in browser but editing an existing one is grayed out. Not sure if this is how it works or there's a way to enable it.

I think that in Ajax client you can't edit objects that are already created, just create new ones (that's why they're called Server objects, because they don't exist in original document). You can edit already created objects just in desktop client I guess...
