Weird behaviour of slider object - not all values displayed

Hi,

I am using a simple slider object to choose between a small set of brands, stored in a variable.

I have no idea why some of the brands won't be displayed in the labelling of the slider object - the label is empty, but the value of the variable can still be selected from the slider.

If I use a list box, all labels are displayed nicely.

You can see an example in the attached qvw document.

Thanks a lot for your comments,

Steffen

Oops, I finally found it.

Apparently the automatic scale does something else than I had in mind.

If I use a custom scale and set at number of major units very high, and the number of labels per major unit to 1 everything works fine.

Yes, it is weird.

If you put 20 on the Main Unit value in the Graph tab (sorry I have an IT version and the translation could be slightly different)... it is reset down to 12 and all labels are shown. Obviously this would not be dinamic so it cannot be an answer.

If your variable is a "category" and is quite stable you have a "turnaround".

P.S. I also set Every 1 Major element and o minor
