Hi all, happy monday
I'm having a slight issue with trying to create a whale curve.
As you can see from my attached qvw, it's not exactly looking the curve result.
Have tried following, the example given in the link below, but just cannot see where i'm going wrong.
http://www.qlikfix.com/2010/11/10/visualizing-customer-profitability-with-a-whale-curve/
I do have multiple values, per customer which may mean bringing in a distinct function, but it's hard to know whether this show's the correct view.
Any help, would be much appreciated.
Check for max using this on the presentation tab
=num(Sum(Aggr(If(Sum(Amount) > 0, Sum(Amount)), [Customer Name])),'#,##0')
I think you have used amount (with a lower case A) vs. Amount (your actual field name) which caused this issue for you.... May be look at this
Hi Sunny,
Appreciate the reply, ahhh something so simple to get the graph the right way up
As expected, this has now show up another issue.
If you look at the attached, when you have a particular month and location selected, the graph works 100% perfectly.
In that, the two reference lines are working.
However, once you remove these filters, you'll see the two reference lines don't sync.
We don't have a simple case of amount per customer anymore; we have duplicate values per customer, due to the month and location fields being different.
This is where i was having problems with the count distinct.
Any advice?
Much appreciated

awesome, that's worked like a treat
Many thanks
Awesome, I am glad it worked
