Concatenation appends records from one table to another table. duplicate records are not taken care.

Join operates on the common columns and their row values.

Absolutely right Sudeep.

Having taken loads of technical interviews. It's easy to figure out who has genuine experience and who isn't. It's not about the answer but rather it's about how you approach the answer. So there is no way one can master that skill without experience.
